Litany on Potential

Potential is not the metric of a life in this moment.

It is always beyond, always ahead.

There is no end in sight to my potential, or to anyone’s.

My life will not be the end of the journey, nor a collection of sights on the way.

My life is right now, in the way I take every step.

All that is given to me is this moment, and the expertise of my life will be the momentum I carry at the moment of my death.
